    He cofounded KCIJ and is a member of International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ). As starting his career as a reporter in 1987 at KBS, Korea's public broadcaster, he organized the newsroom's first investigative unit in 2005. He also teaches investigative reporting at a graduate school.
